Alarm System
If you're ALWAYS going to be close enough to hear it if tripped, fine. Everyone else will assume its a fasle alarm and do nothing.
An alarm that also disables car starting could have some usefulness. Keep in mind alarm won't help with car jacking scenario.
An alarm that also notifies your phone is also useful.
Another option would be a tracker. They have inexpensive systems that will show real time location on phone app, and also let you disable car from app. Also things like alert your phone if vehicle moves when parked. Moves as in motion sensor, so its immediate notification.
In my view, this is all the best parts of an alarm, without all the false alarms that annoy people. Plus ability to recover vehicle if it is taken.
You need a subscription, but there are versions that are as cheap as $5/month.

As in the last post.
Everyone has heard a car alarm but no matter how long it sounds no one has ever seen anyone to anything about it but turn it off.
A few years ago I parked next to a car and when I got out of my car that car's alarm started telling me to "step away from the car." I got back in my can and reparked closer but still within the lines so that message blared constantly. No one called the police.
