Default Alarms

Can anyone help me with a quality alarm system for my S?? I'm more interested in security than added features. I really would like to keep the price below $500, installed.

I'd recommend the Honda OEM factory alarm. It may not have the features an aftermarket would but its integration is seamless and you'll be covered by the factory warranty.

While the factory alarm is okay, I would not invest money into a factory alarm. That's just me. I like the added features of a *properly* installed aftermarket alarm. Things like your choice of shock and/or proximity sensors, external self powered siren (tied into the horns too if you want), anti-code grabbing features of the remotes, additional starter kill, passive arming in case you forget to turn it on, etc.

The most important feature of all (to me), is an alarm install instruction sheet not readily available for download through, say, a site sponsor. This helps me to keep peace of mind not knowing the exact location of the alarm brain, and the wires used to hook it up.

All this requires a good reputable installer, and will cost about the same (depending on features) as a factory alarm.

How about a Great Dane. They seem to work well for me. Forgive me, its 4am and I am unable to sleep.
