Just installed an Alpine 9857 with the Sirius tuner. Everything went great except that there is no sound for the Sat. The tuner and the CD work fine, but when you select sat. mode the display comes up and you can change and select channels, but no sound. The guy from Sirius said everything looks good on his end and the unit was set up and working properly. Any ideas?

 

disconnect the unit at the brain box, plug it back in.

check to make sure you have switch power tapped in correctly, and a solid ground. Even tho your headunit displays sirius the unit may not be powering on.

Does it display the song titles that are currently playing when there is no sound? you may have a bad cord from the brain box to the headunit.

had the plug in the input instead of output, DUH!!. Thanks for the suggestions anyway.
