i just got this unit and the radio reception is really poor. is there any way to boost the reception?

i listen to the radio more then my ipod. now my favorite station that used to come in great on the stock stereo barely comes in! i had heard alpines had this problem but damn. of course all the stations i do not listen to are coming in crystal clear...

 

this is in my truck, not car......and longer antenna not an option

 

download the songs on the radio and play them through the ipod?
