Default Alpine CDA-9855 Fitment Question

Hey All,

I'm looking to install an Alpine CDA-9855 head unit, but before I order it I would like to confirm that it will fit in the S2000 properly. From the other Alpine installs I've seen in this car, it looks like it's pretty much a drop-in installation, but I just wanted to make sure this was the case. Do I need any adapters or anything for the head unit, or does it fit perfectly where the stock unit comes out?

Also, are there any issues using this head unit with the S2000? Any problems with the detachable face or anything?

I'm planning on hooking it up to the KCA-420i adapter for the iPod. Will this adapter box fit behind the panel on the passenger side of the dash, the same space that houses the convertible top wiring?

Thanks for your help!

That HU will fit no problem You will have to remove the factory brackets and install them onto the Alpine HU but then its pretty straight forward.
As for the Ipod adapter you can install the box under the passenger seat. You might be able to fit it in the dash but its bigger than it looks in the pictures. A lot of people bolt it right to the bottom of the seat and run the wires up into the dash.

Either way its easy.

Thanks for the information. I've ordered all the parts, hopefully will have a better sounding system soon.
