I am looking for the Alpine CDA - 7984 online. Is Ike's Sound the lowest price you've seen? (They have it for $310). Also, has anyone ever ordered from Ike's? Let me know your experience if you did.

I've ordered from ikesound before. Their order system is a little slow to notify you when your stuff ships, but I got an amp from them with no hassles. I wasn't in any real hurry to get it, so it wasn't a big deal for me. Other than that, great prices and a good selection of gear.

 

Alpine CDA 7894 was ordered this morning from ike's. Price was $300 flat. The lady asked me what I was quoted (by anthony who was not there today) and I said $300. She did not question the price.

Now I kick myself in the a$$ for not saying something lower like $275. Oh well, they said I would have it by next friday, which, is the same time my Lucid order is supposed to arrive. Project for next weekend!

Let me get this straight. I think I get it, but I want to make sure. If I buy an Alpine CDA-9813, all I need to get from you is the Multi-Radio DCI. Even if I get one of your Rear Speaker Systems, I would not need any special harness? Any recommendations on which Rear Speaker package I ought to look at? I would prefer not to get an additional amp, as the car has limited room to put it.

You might think about a 9815 instead of a 9813, as the 9815 has two lines of display. It seems to show more & faster info about MP3 folders and tracks, and wraps the song title into both lines. It just appears to give you the info faster.

The Lucid harness is used to plug into the existing factory wiring that's already in your car, ie power, ground, dash controls, door speakers. Since there is not existing wiring for rear speakers there's no need/way for the Lucid harness to plug in them. You'll have to run your own wiring for the rears directly off your HU. Also, if you're replacing the door speakers, which is highly recommended, you'll probably want to run your own wiring directly from the HU rather than using the factory wiring which is pretty thin and wimpy.

 

I've had my 9813 for a couple of months and I am very happy with it. The 9815 is much nicer looking, but the cosmetics weren't worth another $100 to me. The 9811 is ok as well, but since you are willing to spend a little extra you will probably be happier with the 9813.
