Lucid's dash control works just fine with my 9813. I also considered the 9815, but remember thinking that it wasn't worth the extra $100 to me. If you can, check them both out in person before you buy.

If you are interested in either of these radios, I highly recommend visiting Alpine's web site- you can print a pdf copy of the owner's manual for the 11/13/15 (same manual for all three) which will give you the best information about the differences in the units.

I can remember when the Alpine time correction piece cost $800 by itself. Now it comes standard on a $400 CD player that also features a fully adjustable 2 or 3 way electronic x-over, satellite radio, and MP3/WMA decoding. Absolutely amazing.

I too recently got the 9815 with XM and love it! Great navigation buttons for Xm and mp3 functions. The time correction is great, very nice display. I know the 9813 has most of the same functions. Both are great decks, sheesh we cant call them decks anymore can we!!?

I recently purchase the 9815 as well as the multi-unit DCI. Both EXCELLENT products!!! I chose the 9815 because I wanted the MP3 capabilities as well as the larger display. The larger display really comes in handy when you searching through a hundred plus songs in multiple folders. I got a great deal at etronics.com. Some advice though, order the DCI well in advance of the stereo. I ordered the HU and the DCI on the same day, the stereo arrived three days later, the DCI arrived a month later. It is a custom build item.
