Default Alpine HU MP3 problems

Hi: I just burned another CD-R in MP3 format with the tracks setup by albums. Only one album will play, both in the HU and the changer. The weird thing is it plays fine in the Philips portable CD player. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Another problem is a few of the tracks have a popping noise on them, not certain if it is also on the files on the hard drive, may be a problem with the CD I ripped as it was old and from the library.
TIA
Andy

Hi again, forgot to add all the other CDs I burned in MP3 format generally appear to work normally. But I didn't burn all of them by album. I am using Music Match and have the latest version 9.

I have the 9833 and I have not had any problems with the HU seeing multiple folders.

Make sure you are not using any funky special burning options, like Track At Once. (One of my versions of Roxio defaults to Track At Once, and I have to manually change that option.)

In my Alpine manual I read the following:

Formats supported:
This device supports CD-ROM XA, Mixed Mode CD,
Enhanced CD (CD-Extra) and Multi-Session.
This device cannot correctly play back discs recorded with
Track At Once or packet writing.

Hi:
Thatis not an option with Musicmatch, but I just founf out that the second to last disk I burned is even worse, only 1 track will work. It does seem to work OK in the portable player however. One thing however I reciently upgraded to version 9 which may have caused the problem.

Ok I finally found the manual, it was under the stuff on my workbench. I had set it to play only the songs on one folder and didn't realise that the band button cycled this. My memory said the band button switched folders.
Now my problem is it jumps to every other folder. My daughter says she had the same problem with music match and only eliminated it be going to Itunes.

It's not really jumping to every other folder. If you have folders inside folders, the numbers will appear to skip. Each folder has a number, but if there are no mp3's physically in the folder it will skip to the next folder with mp3's in it.
