OK...Can't sleep. But, what doe you think?
I found this on ebay. The JL enclosure is sooo expensive. I was on ebay looking for alternatives. This came up:

Anyone using a plexiglass enclosure? Is it is good as fiberglass or MDF?
If I find a good subwoofer on ebay, I might save $100 over going with the JL.

i have read on some of the audio forums that plexiglass enclosures can cause some unwanted resonances.
the $300 pricetag is ridiculous, i would just read some DIY info on fiberglass and fiberglass my own box. materials to make one wouldnt cost more than $75. plus, u will have left overs to make another one. the only problem is time.

That is expensive, but nice.
I actually owned one of those Gately Plexi Boxes. Great quality. But mine was 3/4" inch thick glass. 1/2" will probably give a little resonance with a higher powered sub.
Just remember to get a sub that will sound good with that kind of displacement.
