NO issues with mine what so ever, playes great, super fast!

love it!

 

I have this HU in MY03 and I like it a lot. I especially like the little screan/display and the big clock is perfect since its the only one i nthe car (thanks Honda lol). I have a couple of complaints with it though.

1. no cd player... this isn't a huge issue because my ipod rarely leaves my car at this point but sometimes I wish I could pop a cd in because I left my ipod attached to my cpu (updating) or w/e.

2. scroll/search function needs to include a faster search. I have 12,000 songs on my ipod from tons of different artists, etc etc and having to sit there and hold the scroll knob until it goes one by one to the desired selection is annoying as hell. It takes me like 2 minutes to scroll from the A section to the S section lol.

 

I have a question for those of you using the bluetooth with this system. I have deleted several numbers off my phone over the years for different reasons. When I try to make a call using the system, it has every number ever programmed into the phone listed. Is there anyway to delete some of the useless numbers that I have acquired over the years?

Quick question: Is the Alpine iDA-X100(200,300) updated versions of the iDA-X001?? I can't find the iDA-X001 unless I type all of it into google. These other ones are listed thru best buy, crutchfield, etc..

 

The x100 is basically this year's model of of the x001. There are slight differences between the two in interface and functions, but the basic specs are the same. The biggest changes that I noticed [other than appearance] is that when you search with the x100, your music will continue playing unlike in the 001. The center knob actually rotates 360 degrees and the big center button is actually enter now. The center jog dial also pushes in so that it only turns 90 degrees like the 001.

I think that's everything i noticed....oh, the x001 has Alpine's media expander while the x100 doesn't unless you buy an add-on.

 

I have this radio. It is real nice. I have it set up with a Apline cd changer/Ipod/Sirius. It also has a blue tooth hook up for my Iphone and also uses bluetooth for mp3 player that support bluetooth. It's awesome

 

Just installed the x001 today inside the S. Liking the unit so far. Are any of you using that xpnconverter program to create your own screens?

Just got it working on mine and will try an upload tomorrow(well later today, it's 3am and I'm tired).

 

Put one in my S a week ago. It's pretty awesome!! Is anyone running a JL Audio 300/4 amp with theirs? I'd love to see pics of your amp placement as well as take a look at the wiring setup.

 

I just had one installed aswell. It's in a MY07 but I have an issue with the radio door. When you press the radio to open it, it gets stuck for a second or two then opens normally.

Is it cause the headunit it sitting too far out and causing this?
