I just had one installed aswell. It's in a MY07 but I have an issue with the radio door. When you press the radio to open it, it gets stuck for a second or two then opens normally.

Is it cause the headunit it sitting too far out and causing this?
I think so, I have no issues with my door opening or closing and also in an '07.

I have a 2005 close fine.

The round dial should e parallel with the grey plastic left and right sides ?

Maybe the cover plate right side the Arm / gear is binding up with wires during install?

Can see why Honda would have made a change?

problem has to be somewhere in the install

I am planning on buying the Alpine iDA-X001 for my 04 s2000. I would assume that once the head unit is installed, the iPod integration is a plug & play? I want to keep my iPod in my glove compartment. Would the wire be long enough to reach the glove compartment?

Does the head unit come with this wire to connect to the iPod?

Updat with my HU, just information I didn't include in my original post:

I've been using the X001 for 10 months now and I like it less and less. I do love the display still, I think its amazing. It is also easy to use, even if scrolling for 2 hours is retarded. I find however, that the buttons are simply not very responsive. Sometimes I have to hit the next track button 5-6 times before it actually changes the track (each time I hit it, the HU beeps so I know I'm pusing the button hard enough). It has also recently started to sometimes not display the track names when I search for songs. Like, I can scroll around through songs, but instead of seeing text that says the name of the track I have highlighted, the entire screen is blank (with the yellow highlighted bar selecting nothing lol). The lack of response in the buttons has been there from day one with the HU, but the rest of it has only recently become a problem.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

I don't have this problem on my x100... bbut i do wish that there is a way to switch font colors from white. If you have a bright background pic its impossible to read the text.
