ahh...thank you...so to clearify about the USB, the stick needs to remain attatched to play the songs at all times?
Yes, the hard drive doesn't save anything. Also, its not a very good head unit if you just want to play songs on a USB drive... there's plenty of other head units that can do that. The ida-x305 is a great head unit because it works well with ipods/iphones and has a great user interface, menu, and buttons that were designed for ipod connectivity.

gotcha...i only ask because having a front aux output on the faceplate would obstruct the radio hood, so idk....thanks for the clarification.

Guys if you want to make your own x305 background... read the link. I've hosted the software that I got from another user.

[QUOTE=philbert,Jul 21 2010, 10:50 AM]1. - you will need some form of wiring harness, and if you want to retain the controls to the left of the steering wheel, than an interface for that as well.

Does the wired modifry DCI work or do you have to use the IR one?

Anyone know of a way to get custom colored BGV or w/e they call them. It comes stock with the only options being red or blue. I'm wondering if anyone has any custom software out there to do green with both the red and blue turned on at the same time.

Here's an image I made converted using that tool. I use the red illumination because I feel it better matches our amber interior, hence the dark red s2000 logo.

I might play around with the positioning of the logo though. I think a lot of the text and what not covers it.

I'd settled on this one. I like it.

I think this is great, but I can't get the link to work. If it is possible, can you please post again or send it to me?

Looking to revive this thread... I've had the same unit since it came out in 2010, but I never knew how to change the background on it with a custom one.
All the links seem to be dead, is there someone who can link a working .apn converter they know will work for this HU?
