I'm afraid I can't help there, does the manual give any clues as to the length of connection wire between the HU and PXA-H100?

From the Alpine website
he PXA-H100 chassis measures 4-3/4” x 2” x 3/4”, comparable to the size of the everyday computer mouse. Using Alpine’s Ai-NET bus, it can be mounted practically anywhere in the car and controlled via the IMPRINT button on a compatible Alpine head unit faceplate or from the interface of an Alpine AV head unit.

For the s2000, with the factory wiring from alpine, is there enough room under the dash to put the imprint setup or do you have to go under the seat or to the trunk?

Thanks!
You'd want to put it elsewhere, there's barely enough room to shove the harness adapter and crap behind the head unit. I shortened the heck out of my harness to make it easier to deal with.

I've used the imprint stuff with a 9887, but not in my old S2000.
