Default Alpine MRP-M650 Amp for an Infinity 10.1 Sub

I have an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 subwoofer that I am building an enclosure for, and I can get a great deal on an Alpine MRP-M650 Amplifier. The sub is rated at 350 Wrms x1 @4ohms and 1400 Wpeak. The amplifier is rated at 400 Wrms x1 @4ohms and I'm not certain about the peak power rating.

My question is, do you think this is too much power for this sub or do you think the sub can handle it. My experience has been that Infinity 10.1 subs are power hungry and I think this this will work, but I just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks,
Nate

I think the Kappa's are a bit power-hungry, but I cant really remember (Its been awhile since I have heard one). The real question should be what will the bench rating of that amp be? I have seen Alpine amps underrated by almost 40%.

You'll be fine You'll have to work the gains and settings on the amp but it should sound great!
