Default Alpine PDX Amps?

I have been following these Class D amps and just saw that Crutchfield will now stock a slightly less powerful one. The PDX 4.100 in addition to the PDX 4.150. Any thoughts?

This one is supposed to be, I think, $200 cheaper. $699 vs $499.

Is it okay to purchase Alpine amps online? Discount Jungle lists the PDX 4.150 for much less than Crutchfield.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Warranty vs Money. I can beat crutchfield usually by AT LEAST 30%, but crutchfield is authorized. Ive never had any equipment fail on me (recently anyway) so I dont car much about the warranty aspect. Id rather save a bunch of money.

way too much money retail for something producing that power. they are outstanding in their compact form factor, but i dont think size is an issue. and fwiw, ive never had any car audio equipment fail on me so warranty is moot here

Do any of the usual suspects in this forum sell Alipine PDX amps? My wish list includes Darknight's new compact sub (ETA John?) and a PDX4.150.

???

A lot of stuff fails, sometimes even defective from the manufacturer....so its always good to find a reputable shop who will honor the warranty.....

The only equipment Ive had fail on me are two headunits...a sony and a pioneer. Both of them had motorized faces, and the motors went. Ive never had anything else fail on me, and Ive been through A LOT of gear.
