PDX amps are pretty good - I was surprised in a good way too since I never had much faith in alpine amps until this one....

I used to work for a retailer and we saw more alpine v-12 amps come back for warranty than anything else!

I love the small footprint of the 4.150 amp and also the power output. I use 2 channels to drive my Focal K2P's and bridge the other 2 for my JL 10w6v2 subwoofer. Anyone who has heard my car will vouch for it's awesome sound quality. Of course my dynamat job contributes alot to the overall sound quality.

I have mine mounted over my gas tank so it's out of sight, out of mind

^^ very cool. do you use the stock trim in the trunk? by that i mean do you still use the stock trun liner to cover everything up? also, does that get in the way of the spare tire?

Can you take some pictures of it?
If you mean of my amp install...hmmm...don't want to pull the seat out, but maybe I can get at least a frontal shot. I'll see what I can do.

I love the size of the amp. and the power also. I took a chance and bought mine from ebay because it was a lot less expensive. It has been a year and no issues.

Nice looking amp also. Blue light is so cool.

s4play / Ric that is an awesome install. I noticed the strap and screws on the right side of the tank sender. I am assuming that that is just metal and the gas tank sits somewhat lower?

What size screws did you you use?

The area on top of the sender is where I put my subwoofer amp. The four channel one sits in the area just forward the of filler pipe in the open are just before the bulkhead. It is a long and narrow space, too tight to get in with a ruler and measure....

Amp dimensions about 8" x 7.5" x 2" (Hifonics, (older model)

Much thanks, the PDX is on my want list!!

Thanks man....don't worry I triple checked before putting those screws in there.

The actual tank does not sit against the metal so you have like an 1" to drill with no problems. I used 1/2" sheet metal screws and works like a charm.

I love the amp being invisible but puts out so much power

If size wasn't a consideration, I'd look at a different amp. For the money, the PDX amps have quite a bit of noise! They look great though, don't they?
