I had the Polks and I really didn't care for them. The crossovers basically fell apart. (I have KWS coilovers.) I put in some PPI components and have been happy ever since. Much more robust with huge crossovers compared to the Polks.

global, what are you saying?

the speakers themselves don't perform well or the crossover is poorly put together? or are you saying your car rides too stiff and destroyed the crossovers

how did you mount the crossovers? were they dangling or were they tightly secured? your post lacks details

Sorry for the late response. First of all, I didn't especially care for the bright sound overall. Second, the crossovers were indeed poorly put together IMHO. It is true that my suspension in very stiff (lowered on KWS V3). Having said that, the crossovers were securely mounted in the door baskets. I was kind of glad to find many of the resistors down in the bottom of the door. I changed over to PPI components and haven't looked back. Will post up if they fall apart as well.

Those that have the Polk MM6501. How big a spacer do we need to make them fit and where is the best place to buy them?
