please vote on my poll... which mp3 player head unit would you get? these are both top of the line models... Alpine CDA-7998 Vs. Premier DEH-P940MP

 

Whether they're better or not, I think you'll find that far more people here have Alpine than Pioneer. I have a 7995.

I perfer the Alpine units. I have a CDA-7894. You can get the Alpine to interface with the dash controls. From what I understand the Pioneers can't be. Somthing about the IR freq being differant the the Pac unit support. But I could be wrong.

i heard preimer 7400 were a little slow on loading the disc, playing and skipping to the next mp3. i don't know about 940 though.

i never heard such things on alpine.

 

I have the Pioneer Premier 740mp, It's perfect for under 300 bucks. With the great display and mp3, makes it a great combow. Alpine may load faster mp3's but how much faster are you talking about? 2-3 seconds faster that's probably what i'm thinking.
