Alpine XM Receiver Installation Tip
For those considering installing their own Alpine XM receiver, make sure you plug the Ai-net cable into the output jack and not the input jack.
It was driving me nuts when the whole system looked like it was working but I wasn't getting any sound. In hindsight it seems obvious, but until I called customer support, it wasn't at all.
Works perfectly now.

If it doesn't work, I'll probably do what another member did and put in on the narrow section between the trunk and the top. Unfortunately I won't be able to finish this up until late Sunday. Doh.
if you check back, you'll find the posts about where i put mine - i did it in the roll hoop behind the passenger's head. antenna wire runs down to tuner locaed under passenger seat - neat and easy install. works great. fairly stealthy. however, if you want to use the top of the secret compartment, that will work too. i just wanted something less obvious. feel free to ask any questions you may have
