Am I doing this right?
I know enough to get by with car audio but never actually ran a comp set off an amp. I am replacing my mb quart pce 213s ran off my eclipse 8445 with a crystal SSCS 6
Now first question, would it be best to remove the tweeter from the speaker and replace it with my mq quart one or just leave it on the speaker and remove the mq quart one
assume it would be stupid to have 2 tweeters near each other
Do I run the tweeter and speaker off the amp or tweeter off the deck still? assume if they are attached it will be ran off the same power supply.
I have a jl 300/2v2 so I just run the speaker wire to the amp and then from deck to amp with RCA? JL makes a RCA to speaker wire that is short and cheap so I can just attach speaker wire to the ends and run it to the deck

Would it be better to get more quality RCAs and splice (assume just cut off one end and splice speaker wires into them at the deck.
I also have a jl 500.1 and 10w7 so I have a 1/0 gauge going there Should I run another power wire to the new amp or just get a distro block and go 4 AWG to each amp?
Would I just run pre outs from the amp to the new amp or no because im going from deck to new amp?
A diagram would be wonderful and any help would be much appreciated, I am waiting on the speakers to get here and want to do everything right the first time.

I'm no expert on either the Crystals or MB Quarts, but they both appear
to be 2-way component systems, so the wiring is similar, and you should
replace both the MB Quart woofers and tweeters with the Crystal ones.
As for wiring, you want to run speaker wires from the amp to the
crossovers which will come with the speakers. The crossover divides the
signal into lows and highs, so then you need to run speaker wire from the
crossover to the woofer, and another piece to the tweeter. your MB
Quarts should already be wired this way, but use Crystal's crossover
as it is designed to match their speakers.
to power the new amp, just get a fused distribution block - 1/0 is plenty
big to power both amps, and 4 ga is plenty for each individual amp.
to get signal from the headunit to the amp, run a new set of RCAs from
the headunit to the amp - don't use the speaker-level inputs, and don't
connect the two amps with RCAs.
If you look through the wiring FAQ, hopefully it will all make sense.
