Which amp for 2 component speakers w/tweeters
Looking at upgrading my sound system but I want to keep my stock head unit, at least for now. I don't want to have to deal with the getting the wiring attachment thing to have the dash controls work still.
I am looking at getting some Boston Acoustics SL60 6.5" component speakers that come with tweeters as well.
I am also down the road looking at getting one 10" sub for my trunk that would fit in the tool well area. Can I get one amp that would work well with these speakers and one sub? Would like to get enough power to them to drastically make the sound better in the car. I can't hear anything hardly with the top down. Boston Acoustic component speakers
Those are the ones I am looking at. Anyone know if these will fit? Any modifications need to be done?
How would the system sound with just those speakers and amp and one sub? Let me know which amp would work that is not too ridiculously expensive.

Don't want to spend a lot really. I just want much better sound then stock. For the speakers they are about 160 or so. Don't really know much about amps but would like to spend the least possible to get nice sound and power the two speakers and one 10" sub.

Not really. I want to spend the least amout of money on an amp that will be sufficient to power two component speakers and one 10" sub. Not too vague there really I don't think. As long as it has enough power and is a good name brand and will work for the speakers and sub then I am open to anything. Poeple who know car audio stuff I'm sure would know what a good brand is and what a good bargain amp is.
Don't leap before you think. The OEM headunit has shit for power. I would bet that with aftermarket speakers and the OEM headunit you'll get WORSE sound than you have now.
The OEM headunit can't even power the oem speakers properly how can it give aftermarket speakers the power they need to sound good?
Start with a good headunit and keep the oem speakers.Use the money you save by keeping the OEM speakers to get the part needed to use your OEM dash controls you like. Now your new aftermarket headunit will now have the proper outputs to drive an amp and sub the right way while giving the OEM speakers the power they need to sound good.
Then when you can afford it get the speakers you want.
OR if you insist on keeping your OEM headunit then get a 4 channel Line output converter and buy a 4 channel amp. Use the front channels to power your new component speakers and bridge the rear channels together to power a 4ohm sub.
Then when you can afford it, you can eliminate the LOC and install an aftermarket headunit with proper RCA outputs to give the best sound to your amp.
(the downside to this method is that it requires chopping up your OEM honda radio harness in order to install the LOC, and LOCs in general are inferior way to get sound to an amp vs just buying a headunit with RCA outputs)

There are literally hundreds of brands of amps out there, ranging in price from $50 to $1000+. The question is: How much are you willing to spend. Without a price range, it's nearly impossible to narrow it down.
I can give you 20 amps that are $50, I can give you 20 amps that are $200, etc. All of which would match the criteria you presented - the difference being that the $200 amp will likely sound better than the $50.
So, again, I ask: What is your budget for the amplifier? Give me a price you'd like to be at, and a price that would be your absolute max.
Without that info, you're not going to get any suggestions from people that really know their stuff (or very VERY few, and I'd take them with a grain of salt).

I would say around a couple hundred. I don't need anything fancy just an amp that will power everything and give good sound quality. I am not into having a professional sound system for competitions or anything, just one that will give good sound and I can hear easily even with the top down.
