hmm since we're talking about this. is there a minimum amount of space required when you build a box?
using the E8A as an example if the mounting depth is 5inches, then can you get by with a box that is 6 inches deep? leaving about 1 inch behind the magnet?

currently, i'm completely torn between the RF HX2 and this solution... i need to decide and act soon though, since ED is upping the price on the e8A's as soon as the first ones come in (sometime next week)...
it's just that ED cone looks so sweet... but i really have no idea how either sub sounds...
no one in my area seems to have demo 8"s of any type available for listening...

The HX2 is a great speaker also, but I am not sure how they compare price-wise. The HX2's I can sell for $130 each.
