Default Amp Installation

did some research as to where to put my amp and came up with a few solutions.

1. would be under the spare tire cover to the left of the spare tire
2. would be outside the spare tire cover on the wall
3. would be in replace of the spare tire (but i really want to keep the spare tire there)

i am running a alpine MRP-M1000 and would like the amp to be hidden as much as possible. or somewhere where it looks good. i am getting a sub enclosure from ebay where the sub would go in the tool space area and the enclosure would cover the trunk

like this
and this

with that where is the best place to place my amp? please help asap as i am dropping my car in 3 hours to get it insalled. thank you

Take out the spare tire and put the amp there. It makes no sense to keep the spare because once you put in the sub enclosure there will be nowhere to put the flat wheel and tire. Unless you intend on putting it in the passenger seat.

I've fixed enough flats in my day to be confident with just a sticky-string kit and tiny 12V compressor. So out went the spare. In went a fabbed amp rack (also where I put my crossovers and power disty block).

I have no spare either - use the space for stuffing a backpack and have the amps mounted behind my seats.

Roadside assistance FTW!

Besides, you'd really drive your S2000 on a donut? I wouldn't...

So...mount the amp behind the passenger seat. Unless you carry a lot of 6'+ guys, you shouldn't have to worry about loss of space.

You shouldn't have to worry about that unless you make it a habit of driving top down in the rain
