amp mounting
I'm deciding how and where to mount my amp in the trunk. How is everyone mounting theres? How do you attach the amp itself, screwing into trunk? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
With some grommets, screws, aluminum strips, carpeting, and mdf, you should be able to mount an amp, up to ~15" in length, vertically beside the spare tire without drilling or taking out the spare tire.
The grommets should fit right into the holes where the plastic fasteners are originally. Tweak the aluminum strips so they align with the holes and mount a piece of mdf to the aluminum strips. Mount amp to the mdf. I would recommend not mounting the amp directly to any part of the vechicle to reduce vibration being transferred to the amp.
