That brax is a hell of a deal. $1300 for an amp that goes for $2500.

MR ASDF, how old is that amp? If it's under a year old, how come it's so cheap? Someone on ECA told me that he recently checked out your brax and said it was in prestine condition. I was just wondering why you're letting a gem go so cheap. Gf/wife taking all your money?

 

well, i didnt pay retail so im selling it for cheap. not only that... the going rate for them is about $1500 anyway.

Clarion still has the 9255. It's exactly what you're talking about. It's an updated version of the one from 10 years ago.

Zapco makes some VERY high quality, high SQ amps. They've been around forever. Be sure that it's their Comp series you're looking into, not the reference series.

as far as high quality... i would disagree on that. zapco amps are about 70% made in taiwan and 30% made in usa. they come from taiwan preassembled and then put together here in the states and add a few parts. but... they have very very good customer service. plus.. the zapco c2k's have a lifetime warranty.

yea, the clarion is a nice unit, from personal experience, some of them have a turn on/off pop. not much of an issue, but its still soemthing that should not be there on a $1400 radio. no doubt very very good sq. the older unit is the DRX-9255.
