recommendation on component setup...
i currently have the CDT HD-62US components with upstage sound imaging (additional tweeters and better xover) for a few days now and i dont really like the sound that much. the highs are great and really really smooth but it lacks bass.
my overall goal, is to have a nice clean sound with some bass without having a subwoofer.
some components ive thought about were teh following, but not sure if its gonna give me what i need. if you have experience with any please let me know.
1. CDT eurosports 620
2. current setup (just replacing the mid driver) with the CDT ES-07 7in woofer
3. FOCAL 165K3P
4. Dynaudio 240 (dont know where to get them)
5. POLK SR6500
headunit: alpine 9857
amp: jl audio 300/4
thanks in advance!

I have Boston Acoustics SL60 components, with an Alpine amp pushing 75wrms to each, and even with my sub off the bass is pretty good. It doesn't hit hard, but you can hear the low notes fine.
I have an Alpine 9855 headunit, Alpine PDX-4.150, and the Polks SR6500's. The Polks sound awesome. Have had them for 2 weeks and I'm still tuning it, so am sure they're just going to sound better. If you search online, you can get a good deal on them. I found a local authorized dealer here who sold them to me for 530.00.
you may have already checked these, but if not,
1) check the speaker polarity to make sure the woofers aren't out of phase
2) make sure you have a good seal between the speaker and door
3) make sure you don't have a high pass filter on your amp set too high
good luck (and if it doesn't work out, I might be interested in your CDTs)

thanks for the suggestions oth.
all of my speakers are running in the correct polarity with one another, the speakers are mounted on 1/2in mdf spacers, highpass is set correct, and i pmd you about the CDT's
