I just bought an Alpine 9827 deck and Infinity Kappa Perfect components for the front doors. I am planning on adding an 8 inch sub later. What do you guys recommend for an amp to power the front components and sub? I was going to buy the Xtant 403 for $160 from sounddomain but its no longer available.
Thanks

One amp right????

Anything that is 150x4 @ 4ohms would be ideal.

150x4 is a monster amp! Here's a few I'm familiar with (there are many good choices):

Soundstream Van Gogh 500.4 - 125x4@4ohms ($390):

Signal To Noise Ratio > 115dB

You could try the Precision Power 1000.4 - 125x4@4ohms ($490):

S/N Ratio: >100dB

Sorry, didn't notice the price range.

Here's a Lanzar that may work for you. I bought my amp from these guys. It came in 20 hours with UPS ground (we're both in LA).

VIBE418 - Lanzar 4 Ch. 800 Watt Amplifier - $110.99
4 x 100 Watts RMS at 4 Ohms
4 x 200 Watts Max at 4 Ohms

S/N ratio: 90dB

Thanks. The XTant 403A just appeared on sounddomain's website as "available" so I ordered it. I figured $160 was a pretty good deal and others seem to say its very under spec'd. I'll just sell it and get more power if I need to.

Sounds like you guys are going to have good systems. Post your thoughts when you get your amps in!
