Edit:
Found instruction to re-wire the regular harness to bridged version...Looks like a pain though. May just buy the bridged harness. BTW, will the tweeters still work with the bridged cable?

Somehow I missed the “A” bridge harness! Just ordered this for my Alpine amp I’ve had two years. Thanks!

Thanks. I saw it and ordered it last night. Fortunately Modifry (Bob) let me exchange it.

Overall, I've been happy for 16+ years, but thinking of installing an Alpine PWE-S8 "powered subwoofer" (120W RMS/240W Max) under the passenger seat. If installing the PWE-S8, do I have to disconnect/remove the KTP-445A or can they both be connected??

Many HU have separate rca outputs for subwoofer and speakers. All you shoukd need is to plug rca from the underseat subwoofer to the HU subwoofer rca out, and probably splice the blue wire that signals amps to turn on, as now it needs to signal both door speaker amo and underseat (and wire subwoofer to power).

Your HU might also have crossover settings you can play with (and maybe your door speaker amp does too). Either way you'll want to LPF to sub, and HPF to door speakers.

Thanks. I've figured out the install. Will just run the RCA's from the SUB-OUT on the Alpine HU along with the "blue" remote turn-on wire. Determined the Alpine under-seat powered sub won't fit properly under or behind the seat, so I'm going to order a JVC Bass-pro spare tire powered sub. If it fits "in" the spare tire/wheel with enough clearance....great. If not, I'll take the spare out and just attach the sub with the spare tire bolt-down. The JVC is a 200 watt amp, with an 11" subwoofer with very good reviews. Plan is to run power from the battery, along the passenger side and run the RCAs and blue remote wire via the center console.

Hi Mate,

please update us on how this went, i'd like to try a similar set up so that i have a wide range audio setup. if the polks lack bass even with birdged 90w from the amp then i would like to supplement it with a sub like you.

Thanks.

Adding this here for posterity since I had the same tweeter question and it was not answered. With the 445A modifry pnp harness the rear tweeters will not work. However, you can bridge the amp and make the tweeters work from using the normal modifry alpine pnp harness and by following the wiring diagram I'm posting here. Big thanks to Bob, he was nice enough to make this for me and I feel others should see it as well.

I haven't tested yet but it does check out on paper and there shouldn't be any issues, will report back though
