Amps won't turn on
I know this is a long shot, but can anyone come up with any reason why neither one of my amps will turn on when I turn on my HU? Everything was working fine and then suddenly died.
I checked the fuses and they are both fine. I haven't made any wiring changes. Is it possible something happened to the remote turn on lead? Any other ideas?
Thanks

Most likely your remote line is dead. If thats not it replace the main fuse under the hood at the bat. Sometimes the fuse will look good but its really bad. The filament that blows comes undone from the endcaps of the fuse. (a broken connection that you cant see on the fuse)
If your amps have 2 seperate grounds its prob not that. If they share the same ground then make sure its clean and tight.

19876553435% its your remote wire. I nearly slit my wrists trying to figure out the problem when I had this.
To combat this problem in the future, use a thicker gauge remote wire, and make sure itson tight!

a simple test light would be able to tell you if you are getting a turn on signal?
ground one end of the test light and stick the other end into the connector of the remote wire. If your test light does not light up, then it is the remote wire.
If you test light lights up, then check the power. (ground and positive). For testing positive, stick the test light into the power line. If it lights up then you are probably looking at a ground problem or possibly a defective amp.
