its non structural and with what you've already done, why not just trim it?

oh, from your photo i assumed you already trimmed the dash since it looked installed.
I also don't want to trim the dash... and it looks like a LOT of it would have to go.

So i went back to the drawing board last night. Made this bezel to fit a standard 7" LCD. Just a test piece so far, need to see how it looks in the car.

There's also a bunch of wire bundles right under it, i'm not sure of those would hit also at this point. Oh, and that SRS module is also very close.

Fits pretty well for a first attempt! maybe a few tweaks.

This also leaves me with enough room to keep the regular single din behind for audio > connect Pi into that.

the other screen with the door looks better but this is definitely a close second. nice work on the modeling.

Yeah tonight I will make a new bezel to fit the 8.8 and see how that looks. I like the first one I made which fits behind the door....... But I'm not going to cut that much out of my dash.

How far does yours stick out from the back? Mine is only 9mm total but it still hits / needs trimming. The board for mine is very small and isn't actually getting in the way.
