Looking to upgrade my S's sound quality, thinking about new HU, Polk speakers, along with the Spod setup...any friendly advice which model Alpine Hu to go with, additional equipment, and labor costs...thanx !!!

Did you ever audition those polks in person?

 

Have not had the chance to check out the Polks vs. the competition out there. I plan to cpend around $1500 with installation ...probably going with the Spod setup as well (so I anticipate 1500 will turn into $2k). Also I would like to keep my spare tire in the car, and I want the audio control switch to remain operable next to the steering wheel!!! Not looking for the bling factor, so cosmetics are really not an issue (not looking for tremendous bass, just clarity) and I will installation to be included ...
