William sent me the Audiobahn AW100T last week in one of his passenger side enclosures, and PAS2Knut (Jim) helped install it for me. I took a picture of it (see below).

I am not an audiophile but it does sound good, although I can't really compare it with any other subwoofer, since I haven't heard any other in a S2000. One thing, I asked Jim to choose something which wasn't boomy, and this isn't boomy.

Can you still fit the spare in there?

Here is the amp I am using to power the Audiobahn (and Infinity Kappa 605CS component speakers). It is the Soundstream VanGogh model 320.4 multichannel amp.

The spare tire fits into its regular space behind the seat back. The amp sits on Jim's amp rack in the well. I chose to keep the spare rather than have the amp rack built into the spare tire space.

What is that metal bracket connecting the sub enclusre to the car?

I am prob going to install the amp in a visible location vs taking the spare out.

The "metal bracket" is actually a strap that secures the subwoofer enclosure to the side of the trunk.

My enclosure does not conflict with the spare or the tool well.

I just tested an Ov.11 tonight and have the following thoughts on this whole thing

KV.11
Nice musical sounding sub providing nice bass fill. Good solution for someone that is interested in keeping the sound quality tight and does not need to see there rear view mirror vibrating when sitting at the stop light. Begins to roll off at about 60-65 Hz. Good amp for it would be something that delivers around 250-300WRMS

AW100T
Not quite as musical as the KV.11, but can handle quite a bit more power. Very good SPL as the sub has a higher excursion capability. Freq. roll-off is abit lower at about 50Hz. Not quite as efficient as the KV.11 so you need to run it with an amp that will deliver a good 350WRMS or more. Although not a 100% natural sounding sub - it does not have that BOOMY sound that I have noted with subs like the MTX and Kicker units.

OV.11
Musically tight and fairly efficient. Provided about same SPL as the AW100T - but with a noticable improvement natural sound area. Also needs an amp that puts out a good 350+ WRMS. More musical than the AW100T.

Did that come with the sub or custom made? I thought in his earlier post he did away with straps?

I did away with the nylon strap and went to a thick rubber strap that you stretch out over a lug that is on the top of the enclosure. More secure, does not loosen or stretch.

All mounting hardware comes with the enclosures.
