WLAURENT,

You have PM. I paid today and wanted to know what your recommendation is. AW100t or KV. I already bought the Rockford P3002 so I can only crank out 300W max. If the KV is a better fit please let me know if its too late.

thanks

- matt

You should be fine with that amp. It probably does closer to 350/375 @ 14 volts

Will,
My PG Tantrum 600.4 only puts out around 320ish when bridged (the published number is 300, but the enclosed testing doc says 320ish). Should I then go with the KV.11? I know we had planned on the Audiobahn? Thanks for inputs!

I would stick with the AW100T also.

Perhaps a better way to put the recommendation would be:

Less than 300 - KV
300 and up - AW100T or OV

good news on the O. thanks for testing it out for me William. looks like i should be making a nasty call to Ben right now...

i'll probably give you a call as soon as i'm sure it isn't early morn in AZ, if i don't hear from you sooner.

also, i'd agree w/ William -- both Phoenix Gold and Rockford are likely to slightly underrate their amps.

I had my AW100T installed along with a small Alpine amp MRT220 for the components and Sony Xplod 760w i had laying arround to power the sub. The amps where installed in the spare tire well, the installer made a custom rack for them and did a good job. The sound is amazing, hard to imagine the amount of bass that comes out of that little 10" sub... definately makes a huge difference. Only one small problem, the trunk hinge rubs "lightly" on the AW100T's border. You can feel it a little when your closing the trunk, and also there's a bit of paint left on the border when you look closely. It's not a big deal for me, but it may be something to consider.

Hi Kenny - I am surprised to hear that your trunk hinge is rubbing. Make sure your speaker wire is not between the enclosure and the trunk liner as it can move the sub closer to the hinge. The fitment on the 10's is tight - but I sit them all in my car to make sure they fit properly before shipping.

Glad you are happy with the sound from the sub.

Cheers

I originally thought the same thing... I pushed it back as far as i could, and it still rubs... not alot but just enough to cause some of the paint to come off the trunk hinge arm. I even disconnected the speaker from the wire and pushed it, still rubs. Oh well, not big deal as i said earlier.
