Also - came up with a grill idea that will work for the 10" and 8" subs.
Let me know what you folks think - keep in mind that this one was welded by me, bent by me and rattle canned black by me. Finished products will be professionally bent, welded and p-coated a flat black.

np. try to isolate it to specific equipment if you can....
for starters, disconnect the RCA's from the amp. if the noise goes away, your problem is the RCA's or HU. if the noise stays, it's amp to speakers.
then, see if you can isolate the problem further.

I order the grille from William already too. You can now order it from his website.
yup, he sent me info last week, and i was super busy w/ current work and an interview with awesome potential, and didn't order. i'm ordering today... (right now if i can manage it at work...
)
)
order was confirmed last night...
William is on the ball as usual.
btw -- back to the main topic of this thread. i'm really loving my 11Ov2. i hate to say it, but Ben has done it again... good sounding sub w/ his typical wait and hassle.
it's very smooth, quite musical, and doesn't have the low end dropoff that the 11kv2 had...
thankfully, i'm pretty sure that William is stocking these things, so the availability questions shouldn't be an issue.
all in all, this is a great sub solution for the S.

Ok fine:
Now that break-in should be complete and now that the REST of my system is working like it's supposed to:
The 11kv.2 I have sounds REALLY good with my setup. I am only pushing a little over 200watts to it. It really filled in the gap in my system and has made it perfect for me now. I can hear my music, very clearly and completely, at high speeds with the top down. I like it.

good deal Pete.
btw - i was NOT trying to disparage the 11kv2. sorry if it sounded like that...
for lower power and price it is a great option. and i can be pretty picky for sound, so don't take me too seriously...
the k sounds great at the frequencies typical music requires. and with the power my amps output, i was having to dial the amp back to keep the k out of heavy distortion. the O handles my power better and is generally better for me. afterall, i'm running almost 250% more power than you...
