Anyone here have the Clarion MP3 deck in their car?
Yes, I have it.
It works well, although the display really tends to wash out in the sun, which is a big problem.
I haven't had any problem at all reading MP3 CD's, and the track and folder access is very quick. Like a regular CD player really, except you have like, 100 songs.
The sound is very good, although i think there is still a difference between MP3's and true CD's. I think this is more about the nature of MP3's as opposed to the performance of this headunit.
The screen savers are really quite basic, so if you want more flash, go Pioneer.
But overall i guess I'm pretty happy.

Our shop was pretty dissapointed by Clarion's performance this year.
You are correct MP3's are about the same quality as basicly FM I won't say exactly but CD quality is far better than MP3.
Pioneer?! Where, when?
Only one I would really stand behind and sell a lot of is the SH-99!
Its a great radio and everybody raves about it. You can contact me if your interested in purchasing it. I am backed by a stereo shop so there is a shop warrantee as well as the manufacturer. I have it setup with the dash controls to work all ready to plug in and play.
