Default Anyone making footwell sub enclosures?

I've stumbled across a few old threads about a guy here who was making/selling enclosures but they're all deadlinks.

Anyone currently making/selling them?

Last resort is trying to play with fiberglass myself but figured I'd ask before attempting that challenge

Thanks!
I've stumbled across that thread a few times and it seems 2bigforaS2000 is no longer a member here

That is exactly what I'm looking for though, a .45cu ft fiberglass enclosure to toss a shallow mount 10" into.
Need to make some time and try my hand at fiberglass

Or find a guy that is good at surfboard DIY and repairs. A friend in HS built two DIY outdoor speakers. Cab was made of fiberglass. He used component Pro Level JBL speakers. Really sounded quite good.

He was an avid surfer.

I know buying is way more simple but DIY will allow you to make exactly what you want. All you really need to start is an MDF ring and a few straight pieces to experiment with height/angle, etc. Look up custom fiberglass trunk setups, they are the easiest to see what people did because pictures show the whole build, it just is easier to understand visually. I haven't done this specifically but I have done custom tweeter mounts in sail panels and kick panels, you do not need to be all that experienced to make your own, it just may take some more body work if you are new to it, assuming you are painting. If you are covering with leather/vinyl/similar, you will need less body work as it doesn't need to be perfect. If you are using carpet, it doesn't really need to look all that nice on the fiberglass.

Depending on the complexity of the shape, you may want to use a very thin type of fabric first that is stretchy, for smaller pieces I use panty hose. For less complex, you may want to go thick with fleece. Then fiberglass over. The main thing is have fun and don't get resin on your car, and use gloves. Fiberglass is not fun, but it's not hard either. Making it will take time (it's a quick process once you get your design) but dry time, body working, etc, takes time. You likely will be more satisfied if you already have a good idea of how you would like it to look.

I would love to see what you come up with, not that I want to do the same, but I always like unique installs.
