I have a 2001 S2K - just purchased a set of SPR-17S Alpine components. Since I don't have any factory tweeters, I am looking for some advice as to where I should put the tweeters.

I have heard that it is best to keep the tweeters within 10-12 inches from the midrange spakers. Does anyone know of any aftermarket pods I could purchase to hold the tweeters? Also, if you have an S2K without factory tweeters, and you installed component speakers, can you please post any pics you may have of the tweeter location / install process.

On second thought, does anyone know where can I purchase the Tweeter pods that came factory in the 02/03 S2K's?

That seems to be the best / easiest mod for my 01 - any thoughts?

 

look for some used door panels on the for sale thread, that would be your best bet. or buy the assembly at the stealership
