Apexi timer and remote locks?
The car thinks the key is still in the ignition, this is why it doesn't lock. Some aftermarket alarms have outputs for turbo timers. This will let you arm(lock the doors) the alarm with the car still running.
^yes but after the timer shuts the ignition off the alarm automatically unarms the car.(my alarm anyway Viper)
This kinda defeats the whole purpose of havin a turbo timer i usually have to arm my alarm back up again.
and places where i know it wont reach the pager i have to stick around kinda sucks.
I need to get that fixed.

I just get out of car and lock it with my key manually while the turbo timer counts down. The only thing that I don't like is that my car is only being parked with the e-brake, and its not in gear because its running.
if you have a viper alarm just turn Passive Arming on , this will arm your alarm and lock your doors if the car has been idle powered off for 5 mins or so... and turn off IGN controlled door locks... this will make it so when you start the car it doesn't lock , and when you turn off the car it doesn't lock. Only thing about passive arming is don't leave your keys in the car and then walk away :-P
I don't have a viper yet but when i get it I'll note to do that. Im just curious if you can mess with any of the wires to make the remote locks work regardless of wether the car is running or not???

yea there's a bunch of things you can do but I don't suggest doing it for a novice I suggest getting an alarm it'll cost you the same :-)... you'd have to relay off the door trigger , door locks , igntion and like a whole chain of events in order for it to work...
