Default Audio Build Help!

So when it comes to audio equipment I am pretty clueless. I plan on picking up a JL stealthbox sub, I believe it has a 10W3V2.

My main concern is on choosing the correct amp.

Basically I want a smaller amp that I can store in the spare tire area thats multichannel and won't create too much heat. I want to spend $300 maximum.

The HU I plan on purchasing is the Kenwood KDC-HD548U. Are there any better HU around this price? I want to spend $200 max.

Thanks for any help.

i have put the largest jl amp above gas tank, never have overheating issue, i also have put the big kicker amps there also, as for a amp, buy a 4 channel and bridge 2 channels to you sub and other 2 for the door speakers, jl & alpine both make models that work great, about 100-150 per channel .

decided to go with the Kenwood KDC-HD548U from sonicelectronix. Also picked up the JLW3V3 10" sub with enclosure that fits snug in the trunk well. As for the amp I plan on purchasing a Alpine PDX-5 from a fellow forum member. Cant wait to put it together and see how it sounds!
