Wondering if anyone has an audio unit with built in bluetooth? Do you have the external mic (mount where you want) or the intergrated mic (in the unit itself)? Can you hear on it, top up or down? Any suggestionson units? looking to do my first modification to my virgin s2k, so it now starts. lol

 

I have Bluetooth on all my car and I have to say top down will not work ( in my case). The best one I've own is a set made by parrot. You better of getting a headset, because there are no good place to mount the mic that will work with the top down.

 

thanks for the input. i didn't think it would be but thought i would ask. the deck i am getting has it built in so i probably hook it up. i don't ever talk and drive anyways really lol

 

i just got an Alpine deck installed and it has the mic bluetooth on a clip to the left of my rearview mirror next to my sun visor. I must say it works very well. No complaints from anyone on the other end..

 

^sweet. thats about where I mounted mine. just installed this weekend. I haven't paired my phone yet and tried to use it.

 

yeah i tried that and also by the steering wheel but i think it just looked better on the top.

i have an alpine deck too with bt. i have my mic clipped on to the cluster bezel by the steering column by the cruise control button (my00). Works great top up and hard top on... have not tried it with top down yet... however... if you have a loud engine or exhaust you may need to turn up the volume. i'll post a pic up tomorrow when it isn't raining so much.
