Default AUX Input on OEM 2005 S2000 decks?

Just curious since I would like to hook up my Ipod to the OEM stereo for now since I'm doing most of the performance / exterior mods before the ICE.

Actually the stock stereo in the 2005 isn't too bad - can't compare to aftermarket but it's liveable for now.

Might drop by Honda dealer tomorrow but wanted to see if anyone here knows a trick to get the AUX input to work?

thanks,
rick

It act like the CD changer I believe. If you don't have anything plugged into it you can't access it. Once you have a unit connected to you you'll be able to select the cd changer.

hmmm, that makes sense...so there is no way to find a 2.5mm jack on the back of the unit that I can tap into for my Ipod?

damn....guess I'm stuck with the lousy FM modulator!

I believe you can get one that will plug into the stock CD changer port. It will sound way better than a FM modulator, those things suck.

. I think Blitzsafe makes one. You will need a 3.5mm-->RCA conversion, then an RCA---> PIE interface to adapt the RCA's to the Honda Aux input.

I think you can get the kit for like $100 from blitzsafe.

I got a P.I.E. unit that plugs right into the CD changer input, cost 50 bucks, works perfectly with my Sirius and my iPod, but I can't remember the name of the website.

The only bad thing is that it is a VERY tight fit when you push your stereo back into the dash. I have since bought a thicker, better quality RCA/mini wire but I am not looking forward to trying to fit everything behind the stereo again.
