Default Awesome Xmas Gifts Stereo Make-Over

So I ran into my brother in-law last night and he wanted to run his xmas gift by me to make sure it's something I want. He is getting me some s-pods and speakers. I told him he didn't need to get me the speakers and he said he was going to get me speakers for the pods and new ones for the door. I told him not to get me the door speakerss because the ones I want are expsensive JL speakers. He said no problem he would go the stereo shop around here and get me some. Kick Ass.

Mom is getting me a Pioneer Premier DEH-690UB and I have ordered the modifry DCI for it already.

Xmas day is going to be a fun day of installs.

I have a question now. I have my door speakers amp'ed. I bought a 2 channel amp with no intentions of getting any kind of rear speakers. Now I will have rear speakers. How should I set them up. Should I replace the amp and power all 4 or just set it up with power to the front and leave the rear on HU power?

We will see soon. Got my DCI in the mail yesterday. I was looking around under the dash and found an rca type wire behind the dash controls. Would that have been from and old dash interface kit. I know the car had ne before I bought it.

Components in the s-pods are useless. A good set of coaxials are just fine. Amping them is even more useless. They are for fill. The rear outputs on your new Pioneer will be plenty. You will most likely be fading them heavily for balance so the extra power from an amp on them will be wasted.

Have fun with the install!

He's in the contracting business and finally making some good money. He's also a big EJ. I'm excited. I'm bored out of my mind at work and wish I had some of the stuff I could be assembling here.
