Alpine Spx series. Designed by Alpine USA, made in Denmark by Vifa/scanspeak I believe. A/b against any of the other speakers 2x the price and they can easily hang. Only downfall the xovers are huge, but offer alot of adjustments. My .02.

Ok, Diamond Audio, MB Quart, Infinity, Polk, BA. For under $200, is there a favorite out of all these brands?? Still lost here since almost everyone has a different set-up. Once again, I just wanna run them off my Alpine head unit.

Thanks

Diamond Audio will not be under 200, unless you get the M6 or M3. Hex's will run in the 300+.

too bad the budget is tight because I think MB Quart are one of the most superior speakers. Well, that was back in 93, so I dont' know what's up these days...

MB quarts in my book, I have a set of the Q series in (QSD216's) my car right now, but at a retail price of ~1499 they are little out of your range, but there is hope, you can get a set of the RSD216, (~350 inline I believe) these were the top of the line MB quarts a few years back and are a steller speaker even running with just power from a deck.

They fit just fine in the door, no cutting required. (you simply remove the basket and use the enclosed speaker rings. and the tweeters while not in the best position can be mounted in the speaker in the door if you don't have a 02/03.

just my vote.
