I was going to buy the Honda/Alpine cd changer, but I didn't want to pay $600 for a 6 disc changer. I thought about getting a different changer, but I didn't want the degredation common with RF changers. So, I decided to get a new head unit and changer. I'm currently scouring the internet and these forums for the best options. What have you guys used and what do you like? What head units have the best quality? What cd changers have the best esp or quality? Do you guys like any of the mp3 head units? I really want an mp3 changer, but I haven't found one yet??

Check out JVC good quality and at a lower price but will still stand up to the beatings that our car will give the radio. I think they have a MP3 players too.

boka,

There are aftermarket adapters to use an Alpine 6 Disc changer (commonly found in many stereo shops areound the country) via direct connection... so, for $200-something + adapter, you just add the Alpine to your existing Honda radio...

Shaner is right (again),

Not sure where you got the price for $600, but you can find an Alpine changer for around $200-300 and the adapter should be around $50.

Cool. Thanks guys! The $600 price came from the Honda dealership. The Honda changer(Alpine with Honda sticker) is $408 from HandA-accesories. To get the Honda changer plus install I was estimating $500?? I also thought $600 was a good price for a head unit and changer, so I wanted feedback from some of the board members. I have $600 in my current stereo budget, so that's were I was coming from..
