thanks for the link, but I like the smaller 360 and I would just rather pay 20 less for a new 360.

In that order. Garmin and Magellan were the first US based GPS companies for the public.
Garmin is still designed here in the US but of course is made elsewhere
Tom Tom is designed for use in Europe and the maps are just reflashed for US.
That is why some people experience difficulties on Tom Tom navigation because Tom Tom wasn't designed for this country. (Over the last 2 years though, Tom Tom has improved greatly and im impressed)

on a side not, I sell GPS (tons of brands) when tom tom first came out we had to send all tom tom back, they all had a defect. But again that was years ago.

I picked up a TomTom 330 XL the other day for a work truck and it's PITA versus my Magellan.

I think I'll pick one of those Garmin 360's for my wife, our old Pioneer unit is getting a bit old and dated.

I just ordered my 360 for 175.00! Will be here tomorrow and plan on using it at the beach this weekend and at the Raleigh meet next weekend. Thanks for the recommendation guys. I will let you know how it works!

I've run a Garmin 350 on a Modifry bracket and it works great. I'm sure you'll be happy with the 360. But the newer Nuvi's are just better!

I used to sell GPS units. You're definitely not making a mistake by going with Garmin.

That is what everyone told me. I just about bought a TomTom for the same price without near the features of the nuvi 360, just because I was in a hurry and no one sells the nuvi 360 in stores. I am glad I waited and found the one I wanted on Amazon.

I personally like the custom features of the Tom Tom units. Hey Rich did you happen to see how i had my GPS installed in my S2k when you went for a ride? I can probably make you a custom bracket for your GPS if you want. I work later that night after the meet, so i could do it there if you wanted.

^Kenneth I did kind of notice how your GPS was mounted up high and I liked it. Very out of the way. I am interested in the custom bracket similar to yours. I didn't really see the bare bracket after you took the GPS off. Is it really noticable? I am just using the windsheild mount right now, although some people say it screams "break into my car because i have a GPS" even though I have locked the Garmin.

We will talk next weekend. Still hope to do the security system around the first of the year.

my mom has a garmin
my bro has a tom tom...

I got the Mio 310 (cheap >200) and have to say it's just so much better in every way except that you don't get an even close to sexy female voice (...unless you speak french)

With TomTom you can make your own voices. So just have your girlfriend make a voice for you. (better hope she doesnt have a man-voice haha j/k you can download lots of custom voices online).

I like the unit up high also. No one can really see it when they walk by anyways.
