Best security for a car?
Im wondering what are some good security options for our car?
Im going to get
Viper car alarm
Alarm Wheel Club ($2500 warrenty it will cover some expenses if your car is stolen with this on. Not valid in certain states ie Hawaii)
Seat locks - already have this and I need a decal that will state this on my car.
Noah Car Cover with locks
Im not sure what else to get.
Any imput would be appreciated.

Having an alarm gives you a better sense of "security" or "peace of mind", but if someone wants to steal your car they will. I try to look at alarms as a deterrent more than anything. However, with that being said I did install the following on my car.
Seat locking bolts to the floor
Viper Responder 350 1 way alarm with Tilt sensor (for stealing wheels), shock sensor, and the 6 tone siren.
I believe alloy craft makes top latch covers with a lock as well.

I second that setup. Some guys like to get a removal steering wheel as well. Choose your parking spot wisely especially at night. Parking it off the street in a closed garage is also key. I've owned a few sports cars in my day. As much as I love my rides I know to always turn around after I park and look at it and and say to myself: This may be the last time I see this car. If they want it bad enough they will get it or give it a good try. A full coverage insurance package will help you sleep at night.
I prefer 2-way pager alarms, assuming you park in range. I had one on my first car when I traveled every week and had to park at hotels. Two-way allows you to verify you are in range so you know you'll be alerted if the alarm trips. I never installed the siren, no need to annoy people who will just look at it when it trips and curse the moron with the car alarm.
And use a backup battery for the alarm. If they are serious about your seats or steering wheel they will pop the hood and cut the battery cable first thing, takes all of 10 seconds (voice of experience).
Put some kind of obvious "I've got an alarm" indicator on the car. Might deter the casual thief looking for electronics to steal.
Mark your seats, just in case a pair turns up on ebay right after yours are stolen. Engrave your VIN or name on the frames, plus hide something unique inside the seats where it wouldn't be found unless you knew it was there. Like a business card tucked under the material.
