Default Soft top/ Passenger Window not working?

Hey guys, my passenger window and soft top stopped working recently and Ive looked around and assume that it has to do with the soft top module. I looked at it and saw that one of the wires were cut for some reason so I soldered it together but still wont work. Any ideas of what I could do to fix it? Dont really want to buy a new module because it runs nearly $300. My car is a MY00 so it is a little old. Thanks in advance.

Chances are the cut wire was white with a black stripe. That's the speed sensor wire and owners cut it so they can operate the top at low speeds (15 mph?) by pulling the e-brake up one click. Handy if you're in slow traffic and it starts to rain.

The top module does control the passenger window and they do go bad, usually it's the relay contacts that wear out. But it could also be the window motor so you might want to pull the door panel, unplug the connector going to the motor, and jumper 12 volts to it. One polarity will wind it up and reversed polarity will go down. If the motor operates then I'd look at the top module.

This is assuming you've checked the fuses? Fuse 18, 20 amps.
