Default best sound for the s...

Went to local stereo shop trying to get the best quality sound( i prefer clean sound).. compent set , a sub ( not too much). Just trying to improve the stock stereo system in the s. Well i got the alpine head unit and they tried to sell me infinity compent set and they said that they would have to cutt into the car to get the sub to produce any inside the car and i was just totally against them cuttin into anything on the car. Is this true?? i mean i would like to know what yall think i already have alpine head unit but im looking for great quality sound( clean highs and mids some bass.) what would yall prefer for set up?? Thanks!

Jay

Bullcrap...ditch the shop.

Well take care of you.

Components, the infinitys are great. Get the perfects tho. Then grab yourself a nice 125w x 4 @ 4ohms amp. Soundstream Van Gogh, Audiobahn, etc.

Then, PM darkknight (John)....he'll chime in here in a few minutes cause he is like a hawk on these threads, and have him make you an enclosure. I think he actually has a nice Type R sub laying around he can hook you up with.

THen, you call me, I walk you through step by step on the wiring, and youre done, with money left in your pocket.

Long distance might cost you a bit, but sure.

Ok..sorry I missed this the other day I don't know how but... regardless...

Ok like Dave said, ditch that shop as they clearly haven't worked on to many S2K's and they are leading yo down the wrong road..

So you like clean clear sound, do you like it very crispy like are you the type of person that will turn the treble all the way up? or do you leave your setting in the middle?
