Default Blackberry Audio Solutions

hello all, i'm getting a blackberry 9700 this week, and i wanted to know if besides the fm transmitter via the cig lighter, is there another way to get my music from the BB to my radio.Is there some kind of an adapter? im thinking a kit like SOS makes for he iphone... I have OEM everything. also when i upgrade to an aftermarket HU, what should i look for>?

Get an aftermarket HU with A2DP Bluetooth capability (there are lots of them out there ... Pioneer, Eclipse, etc.). You should be able to make phone calls and stream music.

just get one of these or the equilevant blackberry branded one if you plan on keeping the oem HU:

Anything FM mod sucks, even hardwired. Aftermarket radio is a good solution, but not Eclipse, they just went under and got out of car audio.

If your BB has a headphone out use this.

You'd need an aux in or some kind of bluetooth adapter. There are several ways to approach it. An FM transmitter should be your very last resort.

I just installed a Pioneer BT610. In addition to ipod compatability and handsfree calling, it also has BT audio capability. I can listen to slacker and pandora with ease and without an aux wire. If you don't mind the wire, any aftermarket HU with an aux input will work.
