Default bluetooth noob

i know i could probably find the answers if i read the manual enough but its easier to ask here...
Anyways i got new deck, alpine cde hd137bt ....
i did not wire up the microphone for the phone(read road noise was too much of an issue with talking on the phone with the s2000),.. i just used my old alpine harness and plugged it into the new deck and everything works except when i streaming music via bluetooth from my phone and i receive/make a call i get the music to shut off and it goes through my speakers but i cant get my voice to go through even when talking directly into the phone , i can only hear the other end of the call saying "hello? hello? hello?" obviously cuz they cant hear me. , is there a setting on the phone or deck that i can actually use like normal when the bluetooth in enabled for music streaming

Seemed far easier to check the manual to me (versus waiting 3 days with no answer) and I don't even have or use this deck. See page 27.

You really should test it rather than just rely on what you read. There are those that use BT kits in their S.

I have the Alpine 136bt. You can either have your head unit answer calls, or not. You can't do a hybrid solution (listen to the caller through the speakers but speak into your phone). I installed the microphone in the top corner of the plastic windshield trim by drilling a hole slightly larger than the diameter of the microphone, inserting a rubber grommet I bought at Lowe's, and it fits perfectly. Callers say they can hear me clearly. I use a HTC Incredible 2 if that helps.

I put mine right by my hip sticking out of the console cover. Callers say they hear me fine, too.

i figured it all out today.
since i didnt have the mic hooked up and the blue tooth was streaming it automatically went through the head unit and i manually had to select on my phone how i wanted to answer the call via phone, or head unit, which i was never looking at.
once i installed the mic, which i ran under my steering column and up the A pillar and just used the provided mic clip to attach right where the softtop latches down, the extra wire got folded nicely and inserted into the the plastic trim so all you see is the mic next to the latch to the top
